Autumn Term Topic

'We All Belong'

This term, your child’s class topic is ‘We All Belong’. This exciting, cross-curricular topic encourages children to explore identity, diversity, community and what it means to belong. Through a range of engaging activities, children will celebrate the things that make each of us unique while discovering the many things we share with others.

Children will explore different families, cultures, traditions, communities and ways of life, while developing important values such as kindness, respect, empathy, equality and inclusion. They will consider their own place within their family, school and community and learn why it is important that everyone feels welcomed, valued and respected.

On our topic immersion day (We All Belong Day), children will take part in a range of exciting activities and suggest ‘I wonder...’ questions, which will act as pupil-influenced focuses and help shape the direction of our class topic.

We may all be different, but together we make our school and our world a very special place to belong.
