'Imagine, Inspire, Invent'

This term, your child’s class topic is ‘Imagine, Inspire, Invent’. This exciting, cross-curricular topic encourages children to become creative thinkers, problem-solvers, designers and inventors. Through a range of engaging activities, children will explore how ideas and inventions have changed our world, while considering how their own creativity could help shape the future.

Children will develop their understanding of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and the expressive arts, with opportunities to design, build, test and improve their own creations. They will learn about inspirational inventors, explore how things work and use their imagination to find solutions to real-life problems.

On our topic immersion day (Inventors’ Day), children will take part in a range of exciting challenges and suggest ‘I wonder...’ questions, which will act as pupil-influenced focuses and help shape the direction of our class topic. Every great invention starts with an idea – so let’s imagine, be inspired and invent something amazing!
