Autumn Term Topic

'Me and My World'

This term, your child’s class topic is ‘Me and My World’. This exciting, cross-curricular topic encourages children to explore who they are, where they belong and the world around them. Through a range of engaging activities, children will learn about themselves, their families, their school and their local community, while exploring what makes each of us unique and special.

Children will develop their understanding across areas such as health and wellbeing, relationships, geography, history and expressive arts, with opportunities to explore their emotions, friendships, homes, communities and the different people and places that make up their world.

On our topic immersion day (This Is Me Day), children will take part in a range of exciting activities and suggest ‘I wonder...’ questions, which will act as pupil-influenced focuses and help shape the direction of our class topic.

We can’t wait to celebrate what makes every child unique and discover their place in the wonderful world around them!
