Our School Uniform

At Dowlais Primary School, we encourage all pupils to wear our school uniform. Wearing uniform helps create a strong sense of belonging, pride and togetherness, and ensures that our pupils look smart and feel part of the Dowlais family.

We advise pupils to wear:

• Royal blue school jumper or sweatshirt, preferably displaying the Dowlais Primary School logo.
• White polo shirt or collared shirt underneath.
• Grey or black trousers, skirt or pinafore.
• White, grey or black socks/tights.
• Black school shoes or other suitable plain black footwear.
• Pupils may also wear grey or black shorts during warmer weather.
• A blue and white checked summer dress may also be worn during warmer months.

We understand that families have different circumstances, so branded items are not essential. Plain royal blue uniform items are perfectly acceptable and can often be purchased inexpensively from supermarkets and other retailers.

We kindly ask that pupils come to school wearing practical, comfortable and clearly labelled clothing, suitable for a busy day of learning and play.
